Market Rules & Vendor Info
Be respectful at all times, both at the market and online on the Market Facebook page. Disrespect can result in expulsion from the market and being banned from the facebook page. We strive to keep the market and the page drama and disrespect free, and our intention is to keep it that way.
Keep all posts on the Mabank Farmers Market page directly related to the Mabank Farmers Market. Please do not include any advertisements for any other market or business. You're welcome to include your website as well, but posts will only be approved for weeks you will be attending and only if they are market related. If you aren't going to be at a market, please post that on your own page. Posts on the market page about vendors not being there confuses the general public and will be declined.
Setup times are from 6:30 am to 8 am. Vehicles are to be removed from the sales area by 7:45 am and to be parked in the vendor parking area. If you arrive after 7:45 you will not be allowed to set up for safety purposes and your payment will not be refunded.
Vendors are to be within their assigned area. Booth spaces cannot be shared. One booth space per business.
Vendors are to supply their own tents, tables, chairs, space signage, storage and all materials and containers for customer sales.
All booths and/or displays are subject to approval from Market Representatives.
Tents must be weighted to secure from blowing or moving.
No early breakdown of sales area is allowed. If you sell out, you must remain until the end of the market before breaking down your area. You can take orders for customers for the remainder of the time. Vendors that break down early will not be allowed to return to the market. Break down your area before bringing your vehicle into the market area. This will reduce conjestion in the market area and allow for easier entries and exits during loading times.
You must clean your area and remove all trash at the conclusion of the market. Any space that has to be cleaned by a market representative will incur a clean-up fee of $35 to be paid by the vendor and the vendor will not be allowed to return to the market until the fee is paid.
Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable sales tax.
Vendors are responsible for all proper permits and licensing.
Vendors are responsible for abiding by all applicable labeling requirements whether you are a food manufacturer or fall under cottage law.
Vendors will not be allowed to sell any products not approved by the market. Vendors may be asked to remove any products not pre-approved, and refusal to do so can result in not being allowed back at the market.
If you need to add or remove products from your approved items, you must fill out the product update form. Nothing additional will be approved without completing that form for tracking purposes.
Any fees or fines imposed on a vendor by the City of Mabank or Kaufman County on a vendor are the sole responsibility of the vendor.
No smoking is allowed within the sales area of the market.
Vendors are expected to wear appropriate attire and present themselves professionally.
The market representative shall reserve the right to cancel any vendor's participation at any time if the vendor shall be found to be in violation of any market rule or eligibility requirements.
The market committee strives for diversity, therefor reserves the right to limit vendors in certain categories or reject applications for any reason.
No refunds will be given for cancellation of any market. Any unused funds will be reserved for your attendance at your next scheduled event. No refunds or credits will be given for vendor no shows and if a carryover payment is made and you fail to show for your next scheduled event that payment will be forefitted.
Generators will be allowed as long as they are quiet and do not disturb surrounding vendors.
Accepted vendors will be required to complete and return a vendor information form required to be on file for the City of Mabank, along with a copy of your ID, and if applicable your food handler's (or manager's) license, current passing health inspection, sales tax certificate or W9 and a copy of your liability insurance.
The Mabank Farmers Market reserves the right to limit like type vendors, and can revoke your participation in the market at any time for violation of any rule.
If the event is moved to another location, booth fees are subject to change based on the cost of the venue. Advance notice will be given as much in advance as possible.
The market does not accept any MLM type of vendors or produce resale vendors. All produce must be locally grown.
Vendor Fees: March-October vendor fees are $25 per 10x10 booth space and November-February vendor fees are $40 for each 10x10 booth space without electricity and $45 for each 10x10 booth space with electricity. November-February events are all inside. Vendors will be allowed to purchase multiple booth spots if space permits. Food Trucks are $50 per food truck per event all months, regardless of size.

Only use this form to add or remove products to your approved list. Products originally listed on your application do not need to be added to this form. Products are not approved just by submitting this form, and you will get an email within 72 hours with approval or rejection of items being requested to be added or deleted.
